Well, it has been a little while. Our littlest girl, Shay, is still battling her cough. The doctors seem to think she has asthma. She has been sick with something for the last 8 weeks. I feel so bad for her, yet she is always in good spirits.

I have been doing some scrapping! I have been playing with a kit from Legacy Paper Arts. Here are a few of my creations. I just love this kit. The diecuts RAWK!!!!

Its been awhile

Wow, it is time for me to update! It has been crazy around here. Our littlest one has been sick, but I think she is finally getting better. We have been battling this cold/lung infection for over 4 weeks.

I have been taking classes for school the last couple of Saturdays. I celebrated my 35th birthday yesterday too....it seems to be bothering me more then 30...course I was pregnant when I was 30, so I had other things to worry about. lol!!

I have been scrapping, but need to post some projects here.

3 weeks ago today, we lost our sweet Saint Bernard, Sadie. She was 11 and 1/2 years old. Her stomach turned and she had bloat. She fought the weekend, but then passed on Sunday. It has been extremely sad in our home the last several weeks. We miss her so much, she was our first baby, only of the furry type. She was the best dog anyone could have and she will be continually missed.

For some reason, I had her outside on Friday taking pictures of her. Here is one to share.

TGIF

Whew, I made it through the first week of school. I really like my class, but it was hard to leave my baby Shay, and even harder to take Sydnee to her first Preschool class. I can't believe that my little girl will be starting Kindergarten next year. (booo---hoooo, sniffle, sniffle!) :(

I am trying to be really good with exercising. I am sooo out of shape. After I feed the baby in the morning, I have been trying to get a walk/run in. I made it 2 times this week. I am hoping for at least 3x a week. We will see how I do next week.

I didn't get any scrapping done this week because I have been sooo tired. However, I do plan on scrapping tonight a little. I also have some projects to share from Scrapdango. I wasn't able to reveal them yet because the kit hadn't been revealed in the store, but it has now, so I can share. Here are a couple of my layouts I did. The kit I used is the "sugar" kit from Scrapdango. It is Scrapworks florabella collection. This kit is jammed packed. Check it out at Scrapdango.

I worked at school today. My classroom is just about ready. I have 22 students this year. I am excited about the school year, but I am sad to leave my girls. I have been on maternity leave since February.

I did another layout. It is my daughter. The picture is a little blurred, but that is the idea. I used Scrapmode papers.

another sneak peak September Legacy Paper Arts

I did get to scrap last night a little. I worked with the September specialty diecut kit at Legacy Paper Arts. This is my youngest daugther Shay.

Water in our basement

We've had some flooding in the area. We have water in our basement. We have used the shop vac to get the water out of the carpet, and now the fans are running to dry the rest. Hopefully that will work and we won't have to rip the carpet up. It could be worse. I feel for the people who have standing waters. Our area has been on the news today.

I just finised working with a ladder blank from Pinecone Press. Paper Popsicles will be selling these in their store soon. I altered it to be a recipe holder. I am going to give this at a bridal shower. I am going to ask some friends to help fill it with our favorite recipes. It is accordian style, but hangs down. Here are several looks. The pockets come out too.

I did some scrapping last night using the custom die kit from Legacy Paper Arts. This is for the September kit coming, it isn't up at the site yet. My oldest daughter is reading to her little sis. I just loved taking this picture! The "cherish and flourishes are the specialty diecuts contained in the kit. The papers are included too!

Wow 10 years!

I have been so blessed with a wonderful husband. We recently celebrated 10 years of marriage. WE have 2 wonderful little girls, and I thank God everyday for the amazing blessings he has given me. I made this card for my hubby using materials from Scraptalk's DT. I used the Infuse line from Basic Grey.
whew! We are back from Myrtle Beach and I have lots of catching up to do. I have unpacked everything, but need to get myself organized with what to do with my scrapping stuff.

I went into school today to work in my room, I have lots to do there. I have my bulletin board up and my desk set up but that is about it.

We had so much fun on vacation, but I got a cold at the end, so I am recooping from that. My littlest one has her first cold too! Poor thing ...got it from mommy! Sydnee just loved swimming, we couldn't keep up with her. Shay loved being in the pool too.

Don and I celebrated our 10th anniversary on the 9th! Wow time goes by fast!!!

Fun times

Wow, what a fun day we had today.
My parents, grandparents, Aunt and Uncle, and another Uncle spent the day at our house. We had hamburgers and brats. The girls were both really good. Sydnee was able to stay up late. She played in the slip and slide, caught fireflies, and did these sparklers. I was thrilled with how these pictures turned out. I just turned off the flash.
On an ending note...I am sooooo thankful to be living in this land of the free. There is no other place in the world I would rather be!!!

Check out my work

This is our youngest daughter Shay.

This is our daughter Sydnee. She is very ornery. I made the chipboard stars. I also created the striped paper out of cardstock.

first day of a new adventure

Hi! I always said...nah blogging isn't for me...well I was wrong. I really want to give this a try. For a first post I should give a little blurb about myself:

My name is Julie, I am married to my best friend, Don, for almost 10 years now. We have 2 wonderful daughters. Our oldest, Sydnee, is 4 and full of life and energy. I could right a book about the things she has done, or her great one-liners! Shay, our 4 and a half month old, is sweet. She is rolling over now. Sydnee was an early talker, but Shay is going to be an early mover. She rolled over a whole month and a half earlier then Sydnee did. Our doctor was really surprised. WE are in for trouble. We also have a sweet Saint Bernard named Sadie. She has blessed us with over 11 years. She has dealt with all of the changes in our household and we have loved her more each year.
