I am really going to get organized. I thought I would start with ribbons. There are many different ways to organize your ribbons. I use to have my ribbons in mason jars. The only problem I found with them is they would tangle, and it was hard to get them out of the jar.
Anyways, after looking at the various ways to organize ribbons, I kind of put some of the elements together along with some of my own thoughts. I will share how I organize mine. (I think it works great. It is cheap, and very practical)
Materials I used:

I used binder clips and metal rings that open. I used 2 different sized binder clips. The bigger one was used when I had a lot of ribbon.
1. Sort the ribbons by color. Take one color at a time and divide them into smaller piles. I had a wide ribbon pile, a specialty ribbon pile (like ric rac), a solid ribbon pile, and a pile with more then one color. Then I laid the ribbons from one pile over my finger. I then folded them and added the binder clip as shown below:

Then place your metal rings on a peg. (or something that you have that is long enough) I love that the metal clips have an opening…so that every color of ribbon is easy to access without having to take them all out. Here are 2 pictures of my ribbons hanging on my peg board. (sorry the pictures aren’t the best quality, but they are in my basement, so the lighting isn’t the best)
